” Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Glacier Presbyterian Center (GPC)- Through GPC’s summer camp ministry on Flathead Lake, it has helped tens of thousands of children and youth from Montana discover their leadership potential, build relationships and grow in their faith. FPC Whitefish provides both financial support and spending a few days each year helping with camp projects. We are dedicated to making this camp and conference center a wonderful experience for children and adults alike.
Habitat For Humanity of Flathead Valley – The concept that grew into Habitat for Humanity International was born at Koinonia Farm, a small, interracial, Christian community outside of Americus, Georgia. The concept centered on those in need of adequate shelter working side by side with volunteers to build simple, decent houses. FPC Whitefish spends time working alongside the new owners as they build their homes.
Shepherds Hand Clinic: This group shares the love of Christ within our community by providing medical care and food through ministry programs that offer people hope and encouragement. Shepherd’s Hand provides access to medical and dental care, the resources to diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions and the support needed to journey toward wellness. FPC Whitefish donates time and money to the Clinic. We cook and serve a monthly community meal for up to 125 people once a month, open to anyone.
Intermountain School: This is a nationally accredited non-profit organization. It provides mental health and educational services to effectively meet the diverse needs of children and families facing emotional challenges. Its primary services include: residential treatment, community-based services, and community trainings. Operating for more than 100 years, Intermountain is one of Montana’s oldest child welfare agencies. FPC Whitefish provides financial assistance to Intermountain and is working hard helping to open Providence House here in the Flathead Valley. We regularly provide food and other necessities for the families.
Bike & Build: This group organizes cross-country bicycle trips which benefit affordable housing groups. Specifically, they fund projects planned and executed by young adults. When Bike & Build arrives in the Flathead Valley each August, FPC Whitefish has provided three days of housing and food for over thirty riders! We work alongside them during their build which teams up with Habitat for Humanity.
Young Life – Whitefish Fun! Friends! Faith! That’s what Young Life is all about. From club to Campaigners to weekend or week-long camp trips, they give teenagers a safe, fun, welcoming atmosphere where they can hear about Jesus. They give them a place to belong! FPC Whitefish provides financial assistance and volunteers to help our local Young Life Team.
North Valley Food Bank: This organization has a vision to collect, glean, acquire and process food for distribution to individuals and families in our community who have inadequate means to provide for their own or their family’s basic need for food. FPC Whitefish is a drop off location for food donations and regularly has an all church collection for the food bank. We also support NVFB financially.
Nursing Home/Assisted Living Services: FPC Whitefish participates in providing Sunday worship services to the residents of Nursing and Assisted Living Homes. Hymns are sung and a short sermon is given followed by communion. We are honored to worship with the residents once a month. Please contact the pastor about participating in this important mission.
Global Mission Outreach
Operation Christmas Child Good News! Great Joy! A small shoe box can teach a child about the love of God, lead him or her to faith in Christ, inspire pastors, and plant new churches. In 2015, FPC Whitefish sent over 200 shoe boxes to children around the world.
Missionaries We’re Supporting:
Alan and Ellen Smith Serving Christ together in Central Europe, Belarus and Russia. Ellen helps twin congregations in the United States with congregations in Russia and Belarus. The goal is to develop long-term relationships across the boundaries of history, language, culture and denomination. Once a strong relationship is established, congregations often engage in joint projects that include summer camp ministry, orphanage ministry, drug rehabilitation, and outreach to families with handicapped children. Ellen also works with the Russian and Belarusian partners who come together to develop joint social ministries for their churches. Alan focuses on evangelistic outreach to minority peoples in central and Eastern Europe, and he continues to work to facilitate outreach to Roma in Russia.
FPC Whitefish supports the Smith family financially and in prayer for their family and their ministry.

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship The Purpose of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship/USA is to establish and advance at colleges and universities witnessing communities of students and faculty who follow Jesus as Savior and Lord: growing in love for God, God’s Word, God’s people of every ethnicity and culture and God’s purposes in the world. FPC Whitefish supports the University of Montana Missoula Campus where they have been for over 60 years! And to answer your question, no, they are not a sports group.
Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship As part of God’s mission in the world, we invite believing communities to engage people where the good news of Jesus and his kingdom is not yet known. We welcome the opportunity to work with your congregation to help you get involved in establishing indigenous churches among unreached groups of people. FPC Whitefish financially supports Presbyterian Frontier Fellowship and is exploring opportunities to be God’s hands and feet in this ministry.
